AVMA refuses to condemn homeopathy for animals

avmaA white paper denouncing homeopathy ignited a debate last year in the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). It was quickly followed by a resolution from some, calling on the AVMA to publicly identify and discourage homeopathy as an “ineffective practice”.

Thankfully, commonsense prevailed. The recent news is that AVMA delegates “quietly and overwhelming (sic)” voted not to do any such thing. Their decision is good news for animals and their owners and vets who prefer the gentler treatment option of homeopathy.
