Motor neurone research findings – Is it homeopathy?

motorneuroneRecent Australian research has found that a cheap copper compound extends the life of mice with motor neurone disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – ALS). They have also found a non-toxic way of delivering it to the spinal cord. Interestingly, during the last 200 years, the homeopathic preparation of copper is one of the remedies traditionally used by homeopaths for ALS-like symptoms – along with other remedies such as silver, calcium, sulphur, tungsten and lead (to name a few) depending on the unique and individualising symptoms of the sufferer.

As with all things homeopathic, what a substance causes, it can also treat or prevent; during our copper provings, provers experienced several short-lived symptoms similar to ALS. The same is true for the other substances mentioned. If these researchers cared to look they may find these other substances also improve ALS symptoms. And, if the researchers were to then apply the even safer delivery method of individuation, potentisation and the minimum dose…
